It is pronounced RAYN, the same as rain and rein, and Rain is a variation with the same sound. Its best-known associations include the American TV drama Reign (2013 to 2017), about Mary, Queen of Scots, and actress Reign Edwards of The Bold and the Beautiful and The Wilds.
