Stormi

Stormi (STOR-mee) is a modern English nature name, a playful twist on Storm that reaches back to the Old Norse “stormr” yet feels freshly coined, like a sudden gust of Caribbean brisa. First flickering onto U.S. charts in the late 1950s, its usage stayed modest for decades, then roared after 2018 when celebrity parents Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott chose it for their daughter; by 2024 it climbed to rank 610, its highest crest so far. The name carries imagery of tropical tormentas—powerful, cleansing, impossible to ignore—so parents often read it as a symbol of energy, resilience, and change. With two brisk syllables and a bright vowel ending, Stormi travels easily across languages while still sounding distinctly English, giving it a cosmopolitan edge that suits families who want a succinct, weather-infused name that feels both fierce and affectionate.
