Charlotte leads West Virginia's 2025 girls list with 84 babies, while Waylon takes the boys' top spot with 115.
Amelia is close behind Charlotte at 82, with Lainey holding third at 68. The girls' list rewards momentum: Violet climbed 13 places into a tie for sixth with 54 babies, Oaklynn rose six to share eighth with Paisley at 53, and Harper's seven-place gain carried her to fourth with 62.
On the boys' side, Hudson's 106 babies put him second behind Waylon, while Oliver slipped two spots to third with 96. Cooper made the biggest jump in the top ten, up seven to sixth with 68, and Liam fell five places into a tie for ninth with Theodore at 60.
Read together, the two lists lean modern and rooted at once — Lainey, Oaklynn and Paisley give the girls a homespun feel, while Waylon, Wyatt and Weston carry a Western streak through the boys' ranking. Surname-style picks like Hudson and Cooper sit alongside enduring classics such as Charlotte, Amelia, Sophia, Oliver and Theodore.
