Trending Baby Names in the U.S., 2025

Ailany is the standout on the girls' side, landing at No. 14 with 7,136 babies after sitting back at No. 3,229 nine years ago. Lainey made a similar run, rising from No. 541 to No. 30, while the rest of the girls' list leans vintage and sweet: Eloise, Josie, Maeve, Millie and Georgia all sit inside the top 100, with nature-minded Juniper closing out the group at No. 100.

Among boys, Eithan's jump from No. 1,641 to No. 97 is the fastest of the year, and Luka's climb from No. 471 to No. 85 isn't far behind. Thiago holds the highest spot of any boy here at No. 50 with 5,835 babies, and the short, vowel-rich set of Theo, Enzo and Atlas fills out the middle of the list.

What ties these names together is momentum rather than tradition — most were barely on the radar a decade ago and now sit comfortably in the national top 100. You can open the same trending list for any state to see whether your own corner of the country is moving in step with the national picture.
